The Fever Can’t Be Stopped
Posted On: Wednesday, May 16, 2012
First I would like to thank my co- producers Jennie Kendrick, Cara Volchoff, the entire Fever Family and our suppliers for doing an amazing job this weekend. We all pulled together to get Fever Blue Mountain off the ground within 24 hrs after our trailer was stolen last week the night before competition. Everything we needed to run the event such as computers, trophies, equipment and merchandise was on our trailer. Even though we did not have anything to start the first day, the show went on! During that first day, it was phenomenal to see a change in the competition atmosphere. Something was there that we at Fever believe was lost a long time ago in the competitive dance industry. Cara said it best on stage at the end of our first day. “It was amazing to see all this great talent today, the dancers and all of you in the audience showed us again that dance is so much more than trophies, marks, merchandise, and equipment. Several people in the lobby approached us and said as long as we have music and a stage, that’s all we need because we came here to dance!” Everyone was supportive of us and each other. After witnessing this event, I hope that we all can continue forward in that direction of thinking because the competitive dance industry desperately needs it.
On behalf of my producers and staff I thank you again for choosing Fever this weekend in Blue Mountain and joining us on our 5th anniversary!
